Kimly's Story
Kimly was born in Vietnam. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 9. Life as a newcomer was a challenge for Kimly as she struggled to learn English as a second language. Despite all odds, Kimly embraced experiences and pursued her passion in education. Growing up, she was inspired by her parents' hardwork and strong belief in education as "the key" to life's opportunities.
Kimly earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies Blended Teacher Education, with emphasis in Linguistics and Child Development at San Diego State University. She obtained her Clear Professional Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and Master's degree in education at San Diego State University and the University of California, San Diego. She embarked on a journey as an educator since 2008.Â
Kimly is an award-winning author and educator. She is also a loving mother of three children. Kimly has earned commendable awards and recognitions for her work including âInspirational Teacher Award" by NBC 7 News, "International Impact Book Awards", and "The BookFest Award" in which her book was recognized as first place for children's picture books.
She continued to make a big impact on students that won her the award as an âExceptional Educator of Excellence." Kimly hopes that through sharing her teaching and stories, children will be inspired to learn essential skills, embrace their self-worth, and develop the values that drive their positive choices in life. She enjoys teaching and empowering children to be the best they can be. In her years of experiences working in both public and private schools, Kimly has instilled the love for learning and guide students to success. Kimly is the founder of Achieve Education, an elite educational coaching service for K-12 students. She proudly provides personalized instruction for individual student, small groups, and in a classroom environment.
Kimly believes that every child can learn given the right guidance, mindset, resources, care, and support. Kimly is grateful for the opportunity to serve her students and their families.
