23rd Annual Early Years Conference
At the San Diego County Office of Education’s 23rd Annual Early Years Conference — themed Supporting Young Children in a Changing World — Kimly Hoang-Nakata presented her ‘Brain-to-Behavior Bridge’ session to early educators and caregivers.
Her message: behavior is a signal. When the adults in a child’s life learn to read what behavior is telling them, they can respond to the need underneath it — and that changes how young children learn, regulate, and grow.
