Beginner
Start with the original story, short Vietnamese lines and English support. Build familiarity with words and sounds before taking on more.
Intermediate
Move into fuller sentences with Vietnamese and English guidance. Practise connecting familiar words into ideas while keeping help close by.
Advanced
Follow a more connected story with Vietnamese instructions. Practise understanding longer passages and expressing more complete thoughts.

Listen, Read Out Loud and Quiz: hear Cô Vi’s model, practise speaking and check your understanding at your chosen level.
Word help when you need it: tap an underlined Vietnamese word for its English meaning and pronunciation.
Choose your own pace: revisit an easier level for support or try the next one when you want more of a challenge. Levels are choices, not age groups.
You can return to a story you already enjoy and practise it in a new way. The new difficulty selector is available in Books 1–10; Books 11–20 keep their existing story experience.
More cottage play: five replayable Halloween adventures and the ability for Bảo to carry two objects, one in each hand.
More comfortable reading on phones: the cottage’s Halloween storybook keeps its page controls within reach and follows the narration as the text scrolls.
An easier way home: use the cottage’s menu exit to return to your member dashboard, or tap the Say Việt logo on the learning map.

Bảo's Cottage is ready for Halloween. Wander from the bedroom to the kitchen, backyard, and front porch, tapping whatever catches your eye. Cô Vi shares Vietnamese words as you go, and a new three-step welcome shows you how to begin. You can reopen it anytime from Menu > Instructions.
Halloween surprises to find
Tap around the cottage to see what happens. A pumpkin family hops, a pinwheel spins out candy, and a shy spider peeks from a bush. Open doors and drawers, run the sink, and find a magical beanstalk and a Halloween pop-up storybook.
Choose your language level
Pick the mix that fits your learner with the Level button beside House. Beginner tucks Vietnamese words into English with the meaning right after. Intermediate is about half and half, with the main topic and action in Vietnamese. Advanced is all Vietnamese.
Tap a word for help
Tap any underlined Vietnamese word to see it with its English meaning, then hear it in Vietnamese followed by English. This works at every level. Use Pause and Replay to take it at your own pace.

The letters, vowels and tones your child learned in Sections 1–3 now become words and phrases. In Sections 4–5, Cô Vi guides K–5 learners as they begin to read and speak Vietnamese—building toward conversations with the people they love.

Say Việt Foundations — learn to read, sound by sound
Before the first lesson, the first letter. Foundations opens with three interactive boards where your child hears every Vietnamese letter, vowel and tone mark in Cô Vi's voice, taps to hear it again, and says it back while she listens. In 30 minutes or less, most kids go from zero to sounding out their first words like má, bà and cá.
